Summary Information: IgM

IgM: IgM is a type of antibody, substances that fight harmful pathogens and microorganisms that can invade the body and cause problems to health, such as infections. IgM antibodies are found in b lymphocytes and are the first antibodies released to fight infection after the body's is exposed to a harmful pathogen.

Conditions that can afflict IgM include IgM deficiency, dysgammaglobulinemia, and the use of immunosuppressive drugs.
