Summary Information: Inferior Glenohumeral Ligament

Inferior Glenohumeral Ligament: The inferior glenohumeral ligament is a paired ligament located in the shoulder and one of three glenohumeral ligaments. It is located in the lower area of the shoulder joint and consists of connective tissue. The inferior glenohumeral ligament attaches the humerus to the glenoid cavity in the scapula and helps to bind, protect and stabilize the shoulder joint.

Conditions that can afflict the inferior glenohumeral ligament include shoulder dislocation, trauma, sprains, and ligament tears.
