Humans have 2 sex determining chromosomes: the X chromosome and Y chromosome. Men are XY and women are XX. Only men have a Y chromosome.
There are various sex chromosome disorders that affect the entire X and Y chromosomes, such that a person has some combination other than XX or XY pair. For example, there is XXX, XXY, XYY, XXXX and various other disorders.
There are many X-linked genetic diseases, that affect only a single gene on the X chromosome, including x-linked dominant genetic diseases and x-linked recessive genetic diseases. Triplet repeat genetic diseases are also possible.
