There is no known genetic basis for pediatric gastroesophageal reflux disease (PAGERD). However, a common cause of pediatric gastroesophageal reflux disease (PAGERD), hiatal hernia, has been shown to be inherited in rare cases.
Inheritance of Pediatric gastroesophageal reflux disease refers to whether the condition is inherited from your parents or "runs" in families. The level of inheritance of a condition depends on how important genetics are to the disease.
