- Early syphilis (Primary, secondary or latent <1yr)
- Penicillin - Benzathine penicillin IM as a single dose or Procaine penicillin IM daily for 10 days
- Other antibiotics - if allergic to penicillin. Doxycycline or Erythromycin
- Repetition of blood tests - to ensure treatment successful; see tests for syphilis
