Inheritance and Genetics of Skin conditions
Skin conditions: Genetics Information
Genetics of Skin conditions:
Some skin and connective tissue diseases, are due strictly to genetic inheritance, while others do not have specific gene abnormalities as their sole cause. Many features of skin and connective tissue disorders overlap with each other, and with other disorders, even though they have unique genetic causes.

About inheritance and genetics:
Inheritance of Skin conditions refers to whether the condition is inherited
from your parents or "runs" in families.
The level of inheritance of a condition depends
on how important genetics are to the disease.
Strongly genetic diseases are usually inherited,
partially genetic diseases are sometimes inherited,
and non-genetic diseases are not inherited.
