- Catheterise for residual urine after urination - if the residual urine is large must consider bladder neck obstruction due to prostatic hypertrophy or urethral stricture.
- Cystography may be necessary - performed by Urologist.
- Cystometric tests - if suspect spastic neurogenic bladder.
