Any injury resulting from a toy. Many toys have the potential to seriously injure or kill children. Eleven US children under the age of 15 died as a result of a toy in 2003 and 206,500 children required emergency room treatment. Toys such as small balls or balloons can cause choking or asphyxiation whereas other toys can be swallowed causing internal damage.
