Glossary for Trisomy 19 mosaicism

  • Excess amniotic fluid: Excess amniotic fluid is the production of more amniotic fluid than normal during a pregnancy.
  • Genetic Disease: Any disease that is handed down to oneself through the chromosomes of ones parents
  • HEM dysplasia: A rare disorder characterized by hydrops, dwarfism and abnormal bone calcification. The condition generally results in fetal death.
  • No symptoms: The absence of noticable symptoms.
  • Wide-set eyes: A condition where the eyes are wider apart than normal.
