Growth hormone stimulation test: The growth hormone (GH) stimulation test involves intermittent blood withdrawals to measure GH and blood glucose following insulin injection, which causes a decrease in blood sugar (hypoglycemia) and a concomitant increase in GH production; this test is used as a measure of GH deficiency.
