Gynecologic laparoscopy: A gynecologic laparoscopy is a procedure to visualize the female reproductive organs-fallopian tubes, ovaries, uterus, cervix-using a laparoscope, a narrow tube that is inserted through a small cut in the belly area; a tiny video camera is inserted through the tube and the viewing area is displayed on a monitor. This test is performed under general or possibly local anesthesia.
