Natriuretic peptides test

Natriuretic peptides test: The natriuretic peptides test is used to measure the blood concentration of three natriuretic peptides that act in opposition to the renin-angiotensin system (which regulates blood pressure); as such, increased peptide levels correlate with hypertension. Natriuretic peptide B levels are commonly measured in response to shortness of breath to confirm or rule out congestive heart failure.
