Obstruction series: The obstruction series is a group of x-rays to assess the abdominal area, including the diaphragms, stomach, intestines, kidneys, ureters, and bladder. Usually an x-ray is taken of the patient in the erect (standing) position and the supine, or laying down with the face up position, as well as laying on their left side.
