Treatments for Von Willebrand disease, type 3

Mild cases generally require no treatment. More severe cases may require medication - desmopressin tends not to work for this subtype of the condition so often humate p is required. The medication may need to be used prior to surgery or to treat bleeding problems. The medication can produce a variable response in patients and a patients response to the therapy should always be tested prior to using it.
