Diagnostic Tests for Anxiety disorders

Diagnostic tests for Anxiety disorders:

There is no one test to test whether the level of anxiety a person's experiences is normal or excessive. Because everyone experiences some anxiety in response to life's stressors, it can be difficult to tell when the amount of anxiety a person experiences is normal and when it has grown excessive and become a disorder. One element of an anxiety disorder is that the anxiety has become so extreme that instead of helping a person to deal with stress, it begins to impact the ability to cope and live a normal life. For example, driving slowly and cautiously on a snowy day is a normal reaction to the stress a slippery road presents. On the other hand, being completely unable to come out of the house on a snowy day is an excessive reaction that will eventually negatively impact a person's life. Only a full medical and psychological evaluation by professionals can accurately diagnose anxiety disorders.
