  • Adolescent conditions: Symptoms that are evident due to puberty
  • Anorexia Nervosa: A disorder where a distorted sense of body image leads to self-starvation to the point of death in some cases.

Washers and cleaners represent one form of manifestation of OCD and involves obsessive thoughts and compulsions about contamination of any form - germs, bacteria, viruses, dirt etc. Sufferers feel compelled to safeguard themselves and their surroundings from contamination but repeatedly washing their hands and cleaning surfaces, their clothes and other objects in their environment.
