Glossary for Chronic zinc toxicity

  • Drug-related conditions: Medical conditions related to drug usage, including adverse reactions, intoxication, and overdose.
  • Iron deficiency: When there is a deficiency of iron in the body
  • Microcytic Anemia: Microcytic anemia is a blood disorder characterized by small red blood cells (erythrocytes). The red blood cells are small due to a failure of haemoglobin synthesis or insufficient quantities of haemoglobin available. The blood disorder is usually caused by conditions such as iron deficiency, chronic diseases and thalassemias.
  • Neutropenia: Reduced number of granulocytes in the blood
  • Nutritional conditions: Medical conditions related to nutrition, including nutritional deficiencies.
  • Poisoning, overdose or adverse reactions: Medical conditions related to poisons, drug overdosage, or drug adverse reactions.
