Glossary for Cockayne syndrome

  • Aging: The medical conditions from getting older.
  • Ataxia: It is a neurological sign and symptom consisting of gross lack of co-ordination of muscle movements.
  • Congenital conditions: Any condition that you are born with such as birth defects or genetic diseases.
  • Failure To Thrive: Slow growth or inadequate weight gain of an infant or child.

The hearing problem may be present at birth or may be acquired through such things as aging, excessive noise or diseases such as meningitis.

  • Unsteady gait: A condition which is characterized by a poorly balanced gait
