Glossary for Fenton-Wilkinson-Toselano syndrome

  • Ataxia: It is a neurological sign and symptom consisting of gross lack of co-ordination of muscle movements.
  • Coordination and balance conditions: Medical disorders of the systems of balance and coordination.
  • Curved fifth finger: Curved fifth finger occurs when there is curving of the fifth finger.
  • Decreased reflexes: Tendon reflexes that are slower or of decreased size than that expected; or completely absent.
  • Dry skin: Dryness of the skin.
  • Eye and vision conditions: Medical conditions affecting the eyes or the vision systems.
  • Failure To Thrive: Slow growth or inadequate weight gain of an infant or child.
  • Hyporeflexia: A decreased reflex of the muscles
  • Mental retardation: A very rare syndrome characterized mainly by mental retardation, hypogonadism, diabetes and facial and skull abnormalities.
  • Movement disorders: Medical conditions affecting the movement systems, such as walking or tremor.
  • Palate symptoms: Symptoms affecting the palate
  • Photophobia: An exaggerated or irrational fear of light.
  • Short stature: A rare syndrome characterized mainly by the association of short stature, Pierre Robin sequence, cleft mandible, hand anomalies and clubfoot.
