Metapneumovirus: Introduction

Metapneumovirus: A type of viral respiratory infection which was first discovered early in the 21st century. The infection tends to occur mainly in children and infants or the elderly. The incubation period is probably less than a week and the virus is transmitted through large droplets or contact with contaminated surface or objects e.g. used tissue.
