Anticardiolipin antibody ELISA system: An anticardiolipin antibody ELISA system is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay used to detect human autoantibodies to the beta-2 glycoprotein I moiety of cardiolipin in a complex with beta-2 glycoprotein I. This autoantibody is found in patients with antiphospholipid syndrome and systemic lupus erythematosis. The assay system is based on an easily detectable antigen-antibody interaction.
