Hydrogel liquid wound dressing: A hydrogel liquid wound dressing is gel-like solution (e.g. glycerol polyacrylate in water) that is used to protect a wound from foreign substances and promote healing by providing a moist environment. The dressing may be sterile or non-sterile and packaged in a spray, tube, or foil packet. Hydrogel fluids are used for deep and uneven wounds, among other uses, and are usually covered with a secondary dressing (e.g. gauze).
