Description of Argininosuccinate lyase

Argininosuccinate lyase: An enzyme of the urea cycle which splits argininosuccinate to fumarate plus arginine. Its absence leads to the metabolic disease argininosuccinic acidemia in man. EC 4.3.2.1.
