Description of ASA

ASA: An orally administered non-steroidal antiinflammatory agent. Acetylsalicylic acid inhibits cyclooxygenase synthesis of prostaglandin, preventing platelet aggregation and inflammation. It exhibits analgesic, antipyretic, and anticoagulant properties. (NCI04)
