Description of B lymphocyte

B lymphocyte: A white blood cell that comes from bone marrow. As part of the immune system, B lymphocytes make antibodies and help fight infections. Also called B cell.

B lymphocyte: lymphoid cells concerned with humoral immunity; they are short lived cells resembling bursa derived lymphocytes of birds in their production of immunoglobulin upon appropriate stimulation.
