Description of Bungarotoxin

Bungarotoxin: neurotoxic proteins from the venom of the krait, an elapid snake; alpha-bungarotoxin blocks nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and has been used to isolate and study them; beta- and gamma-bungarotoxins act presynaptically causing acetylcholine release and depletion.
