Kümmell’s spondylitis: A group of symptoms that are associated with a spinal injury involving compression fracture of the vertebrae. Symptoms include spinal pain, changes in the spine shape and leg weakness. Also called Kümmell’s disease, posttraumatic spondylitis and traumatic spondylopathy.
