Description of Pseudopregnancy

Pseudopregnancy: False, phantom, or spurious pregnancy, which may be due to organic or psychogenic factors.

Pseudopregnancy: absence of menses accompanied by other signs of pregnancy without conception; may be due to psychogenic factors, abdominal neoplasia, or a hormonal disorder.

Pseudopregnancy: An acyclic state that resembles PREGNANCY in that there is no ovarian cycle, ESTROUS CYCLE, or MENSTRUAL CYCLE. Unlike pregnancy, there is no EMBRYO IMPLANTATION. Pseudopregnancy can be experimentally induced to form DECIDUOMA in the UTERUS.
