Psychoneuroimmunology: study of the social and psychological (including behavioral, emotional, cognitive) variables effectbon immune responses and disease, and the reciprocal effects of immune activation on brain functioning and behavior; closely related to NEUROIMMUNOMODULATION, e.g., effects of bereavement on health.
