Glossary for Nicotine addiction

  • Addiction: Any of various addictions to substances or activities.
  • Addiction conditions: Medical conditions related to addiction of any kind, including substances or behavioral addictions.
  • Blood vessel damage: A condition characterized by damage to vessels that transport blood around the body
  • Chemical addiction: Addiction to and abuse of various substances.
  • Chronic Bronchitis: Chronic bronchitis is a chronic inflammation of the bronchi (medium-size airways) in the lungs.
  • Drug abuse: Addiction to any of various illicit drugs.
  • Dry skin: Dryness of the skin.
  • Emphysema: Emphysema is a type of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is defined as an abnormal, permanent enlargement of the air spaces distal to the terminal bronchioles accompanied by destruction of their walls and without obvious fibrosis.
  • Esophagus Cancer: Cancer of the esophagus in the throat.
  • Heart damage: Any damage that occurs to the heart
  • Heart disease: Any of various heart conditions.
  • High blood pressure: High blood pressure
  • Infertility: The inability to produce offspring
  • Irritability: Excessive feelings of annoyance or frustration.
  • Larynx Cancer: Cancer of the voice box or nearby areas.
  • Lung cancer: Lung cancer is a disease of uncontrolled cell growth in tissues of the lung. This growth may lead to metastasis, which is the invasion of adjacent tissue and infiltration beyond the lungs. Most lung tumors are malignant.
  • Lung damage: COPD is defined as the destruction of the air spaces distal to the terminal bronchioles and their walls and without obvious fibrosis.
  • Mental health conditions: Medical conditions related to mental health, emotions, behavior, personality, psychology, psychiatry, and so on.
  • Mood swings: Excessive and exaggerated alterations in mood.
  • Obesity: An increase in the body weight greater than that required for normal function that is characterised by the accumulation of excessive fat
  • Oral cancer: Cancer (malignant) of the lip or inside the mouth.
  • Pregnancy: The condition of supporting a fetus from conception till birth.
  • Rapid heart beat: Excessively rapid heart beat.
  • Smoking: The smoking of cigarettes
  • Throat cancer: A malignancy in the throat
  • Weight loss: Loss of body weight.
