Glossary for Non-Food Allergy -- wasp

  • Dry cough: Dry non-productive cough without producing sputum
  • Eye swelling: A swelling located at the eye
  • Hives: Weals on the skin due to an allergic reaction.
  • Immune disorders: Disorders that affect the immune system
  • Insect sting allergy: An insect sting allergy is an adverse reaction by the body's immune system to a sting by an insect such as an ant. Multiple stings increase the risk of a severe reaction or death. The specific symptoms that can result can vary amongst patients.
  • Itchy eye: The sensation of and urge to, scratch the eye
  • Shock: Severe condition from reduced blood circulation
  • Sneezing: Nasal sneezing often from nasal irritation
  • Sore eyes: The occurrence of eyes which are very sore
  • Syncope: Temporary loss of conciousness or fainting.
  • Watery eye: Watering or tearing eyes
  • Wheezing: A whistling like continuous sound that is caused by the respiratory system
