5 year old children being treated for depression

A Deakin University lecturer, psychologist and author says the fact the children as young as five are suffering from depression is due to parents being overprotective. Children are not taught strategies to deal with bad feelings. Symptoms of child depression include sleeplessness, self criticism and pessimism.
