Diet and exercise can prevent development of diabetes in pre-diabetics_1

Pre-diabetes is a condition where blood sugar is elevated but not high enough to be diabetes. Pre-diabetes increases the risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease and stroke. It occurs in up to 20 million people in the US. Pre-diabetics can prevent the development of type 2 diabetes by having a good diet and exercising.
