Doctor practising after apologizing for medical error cover-up

The physician of a cancer patient who succumbed to their disease has come forward and admitted to the medical board that he incorrectly informed the patient that their cancer was cured upon reviewing an x-ray. The x-ray actually showed the cancer had spread. The doctor tried to hide his error by removing the dates on the x-ray to avoid ramifications, and then felt so guilty and regretful of his deed that he turned himself in. He received counselling at the time of the admission of his actions and was suspended from practising for 3 months.
