Drug company struggles to meet demand for heartburn drug

A new over-the-counter heartburn drug, Prilosec OTC, has met with phenomenal success resulting in a shortage of the drug nationwide. Its popularity stems from the fact that it is in some cases a third of the price of the same prescription medicine. The drug company underestimated its popularity and is struggling to meet the demand.
