Ear infections linked to GERD

A study shows that GERD may cause otitis media in many children. Babies who regurgitated milk during breast feeding were more likely to develop otitis media. An analysis of the middle ear fluid showed that 80% of patients had the presence of a digestive enzyme, pepsin, which would indicate reflux. More studies are needed to confirm the link though.
