A US study suggests that ethnic people are less likely to control their high cholesterol levels. Results show that Latinos are 36% less likely than non-Hispanic whites to have good cholesterol control and non-Hispanic blacks were 28% less likely. Adequate cholesterol control is achieved by only 1 in 5 patients who take cholesterol-lowering drugs.
