Bananas, lettuce, cucumber, cabbage, and root vegetables, such as carrots and beetroot have been shown to convey protective properties against cancer of the kidney. Four to six serves of fruits and veggies each week reduced the risk of kidney cancer by 50% in women in a large study on the impact of diet on cancer risk.
