Many asthmatics have GERD but present with no symptoms

A study suggests that gastroesophageal reflux disease is present in up to 1/3 of asthmatics. 25% of asthmatic subjects in the study had no symptoms of GERD. However 51% of subjects displaying GERD symptoms had abnormal acid reflux and not GERD.
