Onions may help prevent cancer

Researchers are trying to determine the effects of onions in fighting cancer. They believe that stronger flavoured onions contain higher antioxidant levels which can attack free radicals. Excess free radicals are believed to increase the risk of cancer. The beneficial activity of onions seems most effective against colon cancers and liver cancers.
