Stem Cell transplant study provides hope for severe Lupus sufferers.

The National Institute of Health (US) have started a 5 year study to test the effectiveness of stem cell (bone marrow) transplant as a therapy for severe Lupus. The study hopes to team immunosuppressive treatment with stem cell transplant to reinstate a new immune system that wont attack the bodys own cells.
