UK aging population will stretch cancer resources in the future

Resources for cancer services in the UK will become extremely stretched in the future due to the ageing population. Currently 270,000 people are diagnosed per year and it is expected to increase by 100,000 per year by 2024. This means that by 2025, it is expected that there will be 3 million cancer sufferers.
