Flexor Digitorum Superficialis Tendons: The flexor digitorum superficialis tendons are paired bands of connective tissue made of collagen that connect the flexor digitorum superficialis muscles to bone. The flexor digitorum superficialis tendons enable the contracting flexor digitorum superficialis muscles to flex the wrists, forearms, and proximal and middle second through fifth phalanges of the fingers.

Conditions that can afflict the palmaris longus tendons include repetitive strain injury, tendonitis, tears, rupture, and strains.
