Summary Information: Motor Areas

Motor Areas: The motor areas are specialized areas of the frontal lobes of the cerebrum. The motor areas generate impulses that are involved with voluntary movement of muscles. The motor areas include the left motor area and the right motor area.

Conditions that can afflict the motor area include cerebral palsy, meningitis, subdural hematoma, cancer, inflammation, stroke, genetic disorders, hemorrhage, infection, and encephalitis.
