Occipital Belly of the Occipitofrontalis: The occipital belly of the occipitofrontalis is a portion of the occipitofrontalis muscle that is located near the occiput. The occipital belly of the occipitofrontalis is involved in wrinkling the forehead and raising the eyebrows. It is innervated by the facial nerve.

Conditions that can afflict the occipital belly of the occipitofrontalis include headaches, migraine, tears, strains, myopathy, atrophy, infectious myositis, neuromuscular diseases, lacerations and contusions.
