Symptoms of Rapid eye movement behaviour disorder

  • Acting out dreams- This behavior can include punching, kicking, leaping, and running from the bed. The most common reason for medical consultation is injury to the bed partner.
  • Arousals from sleep to alertness and orientation occur rapidly and patients usually have a vivid recall of their dreams.
  • Following awakening, the patient's behavior and interactions are normal.
