Glossary for Renal carbuncle

  • Abdominal conditions: Medical conditions affecting the abdominal region.
  • Chills: Excessive feeling of coldness.
  • Conditions involving a pathogen: Medical conditions involving some type of pathogen, such as a virus or bacteria.
  • Cystitis: Bladder infection or inflammation
  • Fever: Elevation of the body temperature above the normal 37 degrees celsius
  • Kidney conditions: Any condition affecting the kidney organs.
  • Malaise: General feelings of discomfort or being ill-at-ease.
  • Pain: A feeling of suffering, agony, distress caused by the stimulation of pain fibres in the nervous system
  • Renal abscess: A pus-filled cavity that develops in the kidney as a result of inflammation. The inflammation may result from other purulent infections in the body. It is most common in young adults.
  • Septicemia: A systemic inflammatory response to an infection.
  • Urinary system conditions: Medical conditions affecting urination, urinary organs or the urinary system.
