SARS viral testing: SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) viral testing includes three different tests to identify human antibodies to the virus or identify the viral nucleic acid. This test is performed when a symptomatic patient lives in or has travelled to an area where there has been documented cases of SARS and when other infectious agents have been ruled out.
