Trichinellosis test: A trichinellosis test is a laboratory test used to identify the Trichinella spiralis (T. spiralis) parasitic roundworm in a human blood sample. Microscopic examination of the worms in a muscle biopsy is also diagnostic of T. spiralis infection, which is acquired by eating undercooked meat contaminated with T. spiralis.
