Waardenburg syndrome, type 4 is a collection of genetic birth defects that is further divided into three subcategories. Type 4A is caused by mutations in the endothelin-B receptor gene, EDNRB. Type 4B is caused by mutations in the endothelin 3 gene, EDN3. Type 4C is caused by mutations in the SOX10 gene.
